Did you know that there are companies that have full departments dedicated to the life of a color?

These companies can predict , not only color trends, but how long a color will be popular!!

We now welcome local "Fashionista" Brandi
Enjoy her insights.....

" Mother Nature and I came to an understanding last night. She’ll keep the snowfall to a minimum and I will stop besmirching her name while I wait to wear the NEW SPRING TRENDS. On my radar currently are platform wedges and color blocking…bring on the bright hues!
I must admit, when I first was exposed to the platform wedge I was intimidated. The thought of teetering atop sky-high retro-shoes alone gave me nosebleeds and I steered clear of entire aisles at DSW in fear of them. However the other man in my life, STEVE MADDEN, designed a gorgeous wedge that I simply had to scale:

I am now hooked. They are more comfortable than I could have imagined and the added surface area allows for more design and style. These aren’t simply shoes: they are adelicious accessory and absolutely perfect for the woman not completely addicted to traditional high heels as I happen to be. (Don’t judge. Sigh.)
Yet another burgeoning trend that I simply adore is ‘color blocking’ using bright, bold, solid colors. Done right, it comes out something like this:

(In Brandi-land, this look comes sans miniscule waistline and billion dollar movie deal).
One need only have access to a color wheel, a Marshalls Department Store, and a gutsy approach to fashion to pull this one off. If you’d rather dip atoe into the color-blocking pool rather than jump headfirst, pairing a deep blue or bold purple scarf with a bright pink top (for example) might be the way to test the waters. Alternatively, try pairing a vibrant orange top with a neutral (white, nude or black) bottom. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll think nothing of wearing a baby pink peasant shirt with a pair of fuchsia H & M slacks. Have fun with this look and don’t forget to add some chunky jewelry and a pair of killer wedges (see above) to bring it all together."
Unti next time, ladies…help ever, hurt never, and happy shopping! Oh, and if you run in to Steve Madden, give him a hug from me
